The Klee Lofts & Suites

The Klee Lofts and Suites is a modern condominium in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood, named after the Swiss painter Paul Klee and built in 2001. Designed by Hewitt Architects, the development features two connected towers — a six-story wood-frame building and a taller concrete tower — joined by a glass atrium. Originally built as apartments, the property converted to condominiums in 2003 and is known for its open floor plans, industrial-chic finishes, and expansive city and water views.

The Klee Lofts and Suites presented an opportunity to reimagine an established Belltown landmark without compromising the industrial character that defines it. The scope of work spanned every common area touchpoint in the building — entries, corridors, stairwells, and the fitness center — encompassing full flooring replacement, millwork upgrades, and a comprehensive repaint of all shared spaces. Every material selection was made with intention, balancing the building's raw architectural DNA with a modernized palette. From initial concept through final finishes, the project was managed end to end, coordinating contractors, timelines, and building operations to deliver a seamless transformation with minimal disruption to residents.
